From September 11th to 15th, right after the conclusion of La Vuelta, the 2024 European Road Cycling Championships will take place in Flanders. For the Icelandic national cycling team, this will be the perfect occasion to showcase the fantastic kit they have created in collaboration with Castelli.

Drawing inspiration from the Nordic appearance of kits in Iceland and from classic Italian designs, Icelandic designer Valur Rafn, who works at Castelli's distributor Tri Verslun in Reykjavík, and our designers came up with this clean and classic look.

Turning Valur's vision into reality wasn't easy at all. It took time and a lot of patience, but in the end, thanks to the extraordinary synergy between Valur and the Italian design team, we can say we succeeded.

Valur stated that the first thing he always had in mind to include was the central stripe, followed by the colors of the Icelandic flag arranged to fit the design. Once the stripe and color combination were set, the rest fell into place.

We believe the colors are perfect and the font is spot-on, so we're really satisfied with the final result!
