Senior Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team at the Italian HQ. The role requires someone with a solid brand/marketing background and the ability to bring fresh ideas and solutions. If you love cycling, have a passion for innovation, and technology is bursting with creativity and aims to be one of the best, this could be an amazing role.

The candidate will play a critical role within Castelli’s organization, be an integral part of a small team that sits at the heart of the brand, and represent the brand to Castelli’s community, customers, industry partners, and athletes.
 

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work with members of the marketing team to develop and implement a marketing strategy aligning with global initiatives
  • Actively partner with cross-functional people, including corporate communications, online business units, creative designers, photographers, and product marketing, to ensure a coordinated and consistent message and focus across all customer touchpoints
  • Partner with the marketing manager to build and manage annual and seasonal marketing calendars and GTM plans
  • Maintain a marketing communication calendar for the world of activities and content, ensuring integration/alignment with all marketing functions (digital and print, retail marketing, PR, product marketing, local and international events, etc.)
  • Creation and publication of a wide range of different marketing materials in line with marketing plans
  • Annual planning and financial budgeting in cooperation with members of the marketing team
  • Work closely with the brand marketing members and product and creative teams, and assist with new product launches.
  • Maintain relationships with freelance professionals, cycling media, and other industry contacts
  • Routinely share marketing strategies and plans, program results, and relevant industry trends with the worldwide organization.
  • Can manage multiple balls in the air without breaking a sweat
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly strategic, creatively oriented, and results-driven marketer with 4-6 years of brand marketing experience in the cycling, sport, or outdoor spaces, and a proven track record in campaign development and brand storytelling.
  • Proven experience creating and executing a wide variety of marketing programs that have scaled globally and driven results across channels and touchpoints.
  • Strong ability to think both creatively and strategically in terms of brand and customer growth.
  • Strong ability to translate product attributes, brand values, and cultural connections into unique marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for details, without losing sight of the big picture, able to drive and manage big projects.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in both English and Italian. Non-Italian-speaking candidates with a willingness to learn will be considered.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High level of energy, passion, and enthusiasm for cycling or outdoor.
  • Proven ability to plan and drive projects.
  • Good knowledge of at least another language beyond English.
  • Knowledge of the apparel industry within the cycling business and retail space.
  • Strong organizational skills and team player.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, G Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Facebook Creator Studio, and third-party social media monitoring/posting platforms.
  • Business experience in a direct-to-consumer retail space.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside normal business hours.
