I don't know who Castelli hired, but their latest round of shoe covers are the absolute best.Their products were already good and now are even better. I have these and the Castelli Reflex. Both fit nice and snug, yet flexible and soft. They are not bulky either. These go up high on the calf, which helps with front wheel spray. As somebody who suffers with Reynaud's, cold fingers and toes really can get quite painful during winter months whilst out riding. It seems like my search for a glove to cope with the elements and remove the unpleasantness if finally over! I wore these during a three hour training ride at 0 degrees at the weekend with literally no pain or numbness in the fingers, which for me is a game changer. Toasty warm
These do the trick in terms of warmth. I've been riding with them in the range of -3 to 0C and they are perfect. I wear a 45 shoe and ordered the recommended XL. The first time I put the covers on it was a very tight fit and I had to struggle for a while. Like the "Toe Thingy', they do stretch out with use. After having them on the shoes for a while, the fit is snug but zipping them up is no longer a challenge. Note that I have not yet tried them in the rain. Submitted on 28 November 2020 by Slim
