PERFETTO RoS LONG SLEEVE

The long-sleeve Gabba is one of our most versatile pieces. 100% wind protection with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® water protection and best-in-class breathability. With a light base layer it's good for mild temperatures, or with a thermal layer you can ride it below freezing. If you have just one jacket in your cycling wardrobe, this should be it.

GORE-TEX Infinium™ WINDSTOPPER®

Gore-Tex® garments provide total wind protection and maximum breathability. The windproof membrane keeps you from getting cold due to windchill, but the optimum breathability prevents overheating and moisture accumulation by allowing sweat to escape easily. Water repellency is ensured by the DWR treatment applied to the outer fabric.

Rosso Corsa

Our Rosso Corsa label is only applied to the highest-level products we make. Every thread and fiber, every curve and contour is obsessed about. Rosso Corsa represents a categorical breakthrough in cycling innovation and the meticulous craftsmanship you expect from Castelli’s performance-enhancing apparel.

RoS - Rain or Shine

We’ve engineered RoS as the no-compromise best clothing we know how to make for dry conditions, and then tried to make it as close to waterproof as possible without sacrificing breathability and ventilation.

PRO RIDERS

Garment supplied to the Soudal Quick-Step Team riders.

IF YOU HAD JUST ONE JACKET

The Perfetto RoS is the one jacket that does everything well. We initially designed it as a cool-weather training and extreme-weather race piece for our pro riders, but in reality it excels in many conditions thanks to its full wind protection, great fit through stretchy fabrics, and best-in-class breathability. The current version represents the biggest performance upgrade in the four generations of this jacket. RoS in the name signifies Rain or Shine. The emphasis should be on dry-weather comfort, which is where this jacket really excels, but then you get near waterproof protection if you do get caught in the rain. We worked with Gore to develop two new Castelli exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabrics. We use a light fleece-lined water resistant version on the forward-facing surfaces and a lighter, stretchier fabric on the back that maintains the breathability of the previous fabric while improving water repellency at the same time. The Perfetto RoS is that ideal weight: no built-in insulation so you can layer over a light base layer for moderate conditions. Or you can add a thermal jersey underneath and take it to very cold conditions. You decide. The Perfetto family features are all there: excellent fit, easy-sliding YKK® zipper, long tail to protect from wheel spray, reflective panel on the back, and discreet styling that belies the jacket's racing pedigree. This is the one jacket that belongs in every cyclist's quiver.

Excellent

08/11/2023

I have the Pefetto and as the temperature range suggests, it is good from 4 degrees to 14 with the correct layering. With a Flanders long sleeve, it has been good on cold mornings at 4 degrees. Around 8-12 degrees is good with the Prosecco long sleeve. Even up to 16 degrees with a sleeveless base layer and vents open. I go to work with the Flanders on in cold mornings and take with me a sleeveless base layer for the way home. Super flexible jacket and pairs well with the Sorpasso bibtights when its cold and Bib knickers when over 10/12 degrees. It is all about the layer, but a super product that breathes well and works well with the base layers. Quality looks great. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the two rear pockets, but I can still fit a goretex in one back pocket with a few tools and food and phone in the other, so not too bad really. In really heavy rain it does get saturated, but still keeps warm. Got caught out with a really heavy rain shower in the last hour of a long ride and got soaked, but it still kept me warm enough even though temperature had dropped from 12 degrees to 6/7 degrees with only a Prosecco base layer under. Excellent kit al the same and better than the old Swiss clothing it replaced.

Nearly perfect

Conferrable, soft, and warm. This is an excellent jacket. For me, while it's nice and form fitting overall, there is a little bit of tightness on the upper arms/chest. Not too much, but tighter than the rest of the fit. Outside of this minor thing this is without a doubt my favorite cold weather jacket. I don't normally need the additional warm base layer (it doesn't get that cold here). I like the zippers to get more airflow for when the day warms up, and definitely recommend it.
