SORPASSO RoS BIBTIGHT
The name of this tight, Sorpasso, means overtaking in Italian. That's what we've tried to do with this tight, to make it a bit faster, better, more comfortable. It's made to be technical equipment for riding in the widest range of winter conditions. The main part of the tight uses our Nano Flex 3G fabric, the third generation of our nanotechnology fabric treatment that adds a high level of water repellency without affecting the breathability, stretch or warmth of the fabric. You get a highly stretchy, compressive fit that moves with you, focusing on warmth and comfort.
But then we add a few panels of the Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric to provide a bit more wind protection and warmth in the front panel and over the thighs, and in the back for extra protection from road spray.
It's not only about the fabrics: anatomical patterning gives a bend at the knee and the hip, while the seamless bib straps lie flat and securely keep everything in place. Our generously padded Progetto X2 Air seamless seat pad make long rides more comfortable, and you have multiple reflective panels to keep you visible.
We've designed this as the go-to tight for a full winter's riding.
WHAT IT IS
Made for long hours in the widest range of conditions, this tight features our ultra-stretchy, warm and water-repellent Nano Flex 3G fabric with the extra warmth of Nano Flex Xtra Dry on the hips and thighs, along with an anatomical cut and the Progetto X2 Air seamless seat pad for long-distance comfort.
Sorpassing my expectations
This is a killer pair of bib tights. I was a bit worried that they’d be too small when I first got them but I realized quickly that they are very stretchy and after a couple of times of wearing them, I found that they had actually partially formed to my body shape. Now I feel like they fit better than other bibs I have that were much more expensive. For me, these bib tights do really well as my all around temperature/condition bib tight. I usually don’t ride in them below 35° F as I start to get chilly at those temperatures. But if I do decide to get a bit colder with them, I’ve found that they combine really well with the Nanoflex knee or Leg warmers to create a bib that I can wear at almost any reasonable riding temperature. I love the RoS tech in them that allows you to ride in variable conditions as well, including a bit of rain (not waterproof, but water resistant), and wind. They look super slick and the bib straps on them are barely noticeable. I haven’t had them fold up on me during any of my rides. Overall I think these bib tights are a great match to anyone looking for a bib tight that will do just about everything. They do run tight, so you’ll want to get a size up at least from the normal size you would get in other brands. Submitted on 07 January 2021 by C.R.
