IRONMAN 70.3 DUBAI
Ironman 70.3 Dubai - the first big meeting of the world's elite - ensured a spectacular start into a unique 2022 season.
The line-up for both races saw an incredibly deep field with Olympic Champion Kristian Blummenfelt (NOR), defending champion Daniel Bækkegård (DEN) and Marten Van Riel (BEL).
The women's race did not fall short with multiple world champion Daniela Ryf (SUI) and Laura Philipp (GER).

WOMEN'S FOCUS
Together with Daniela, Laura was able to break away from the pack and concluded the bike leg in 2:04:52. Leaving T2 side by side, Laura quickly picked up the pace and expanded her lead to almost 4 minutes at the finish.
With a final time of 3:53:03 Laura set the fastest time ever achieved over the half distance.
