HOW TO CHOOSE A CYCLING JACKET
A cycling jacket can make the difference between staying comfortable and cutting a ride short when conditions change.

CONSIDER THE TEMPERATURE
Temperature is the first reference point, but it should not be considered in isolation. The same temperature can feel very different depending on wind, rain, ride intensity, and what you are wearing underneath.
Use the recommended temperature range as a starting point, then adjust your layers according to your own sensitivity to cold.
RAIN PROTECTION
Not every cycling jacket offers the same level of protection from rain.
Some are designed for wet roads or light showers, while others use fully waterproof constructions for prolonged or heavier rain. If wet weather is likely to define the ride, waterproofness should become one of the main criteria when choosing your jacket.
WIND PROTECTION
Wind can significantly increase heat loss, especially at speed and on exposed sections of the ride.
Some cycling jackets are designed to block most or all of the wind, while others allow a controlled level of airflow to improve breathability during harder efforts. The right balance depends on temperature, intensity, and how exposed the route is.
MATCH THE JACKET TO YOUR RIDING INTENSITY
Harder riding generates more heat and moisture. For high-intensity efforts, breathability can be just as important as insulation.
A more protective or insulated jacket can be appropriate for slower or colder rides, while highly breathable constructions are better suited to riding at sustained intensity.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT FIT

MILD & TRANSITION CONDITIONS
