When Castelli introduced the world's first aero jersey for road racing in 2006, we were met with skepticism and even deemed crazy. Back then, the idea of using aerodynamics for anything other than time trials was unheard of, and high-performance clothing was solely focused on moisture management. It was believed that a baggy jersey made from simple polyester could even win the Tour de France. Despite these doubts, we went ahead trying to pursue even the slightest gains in aerodynamics. The outcome was beyond our expectations, and we transformed the appearance of the pro peloton. We've continued to improve our jerseys over the years making them more aero and with a better fit. We are now in the sixth major revision, but we are already working on an update that will make them even better performing.
