The one and only

Submitted on  23 November 2021  by  Manfredo

One of the best pieces of gear I own.

I debated on whether I wanted to spend the money on this jacket but I am so glad I did. I wore it in 8C weather with a short sleeve base layer and Tutto Nano bib tights was completely comfortable. There were some light sprinkles and some puddles and I was bone dry. This thing breathes unbelievably well! I was surprised how much vapour went through the rear pockets so be mindful what you put there. My iPhone was a little damp at the end of my ride. For sizing, I am 190cm and about 88kg and the XXL fits me great. The arms are a little long but not ridiculously so and when on the bike you don't even notice. The key is to try it ON THE BIKE, not standing in front of the mirror. PS - For anyone wondering if the Blackout model has reflective bits, it does. It has the same rear and shoulder reflective bits the regular models do which is great. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Submitted on  19 October 2021  by  Mark

A jacket incredibly thin comfortable that allows to go into 0c in the snow and do the climbs til around 1200m and get down Submitted on  09 October 2021  by  Pierre

I have the old perfetto from 2016 size medium, every thing about this jacket is awesome. I wanted to upgrade to the newest one but I was so surprised to see the sizing difference between the old and new. I am size small in all other brands and Castelli is the only brand where I have to go Medium, the new jackets both idro and Perfetto have so much changes that I can't fit, I do not want to have a large size just to fit my chest , so I will be dropping the idea of buying the new ones. The choice of material is awesome but sizing is really off. Submitted on  05 October 2021  by  zeeshan

Get one

Spent far too much time trying to decide if I should buy this jacket. If you can afford it then just get it. Does everything it says it does perfectly, temperature range is accurate, I've been down to about 3 degrees Celcius wearing this and a summer short sleeve base layer and was fine. If you wore a long sleeve winter base layer it would easily go down to zero or a bit less. When your working hard up the hills then just unzip it a bit, then on the way down zip it up and it's completely windproof. I've been rained on and was completely dry underneath. I'm 186cm, 77kg and 97cm chest. Castelli recommended large, which would've fit but it definitely would've been a tight race cut. I ordered an XL for a bit more room. The sizing chart is accurate if you're slim, the cut is meant to be very tight. If you want a bit of room go up a size, if you're not as slim as the guy in the picture then go up another. I've never written a review before but felt compelled after getting this jacket. It really is a do it all piece of kit. Submitted on  24 August 2021  by  Justin

Absolutely Perfect/Perfetto!

In over 35 years of road riding this is the most perfect piece of kit I have ever bought! I do not know why I waited so long to try one. I am just glad I did! Fit is Perfect I bought medium same as all my Castelli tops. I am 5'9" 145-150lbs The fit is perfect, sleeve length is perfect & just the overall feel/fit is just great. I was worried it may be too warm but not at all. I live @4000' & ride early mornings average temps anything from 53-70f If a little warm I just open the vents & zip down the neck a few creates a nice flow of air almost a venturi like effect. I know others have said the same but this Jersey/Jacket really is Perfect/Perfetto & I am so glad I finally tried one. Submitted on  23 June 2021  by  Mike

Love at first sight :-)

This jacket has no faults - not even the price, because it is the best money invested. Thanks to this jacket, I have extended the active season throughout the autumn, winter, and I hope throughout the spring. Just take a suitable base layer (thin with short sleeves, warmer with a long, or very warm shirt), and the range -5 ° C to 15 ° C is no problem (the prerequisite is, of course, active movement). As light and thin as the jacket is, the resistance to wind and thus cold is unbelievable. And the orange variant is really divine - super visibility and therefore safety, and really nice/cool :-) Really excellent jacket, every ride in it is a pleasure for me - thank you. Top Jacket... I like it...(-:

Hi, I use this jacket since October 2020 by my rides... form 1 - 15 degree. If it is cold (arround 1 or 2 degree), I use a short and long cycling underwear... teh onion principle. The jacket feels very comfortable... no wind comes through and when it rains a littel bit... no problem... I bought the orange one... so that erverbody can see me during cloudy wether and on dark streets. Take car to take one ore no size bigger, so that it fits. I normaly use jackets in size M or L (max)... depands on the brand... Gore for example I use most time size M. This i bought in XL... this size fits perfect and I also can wear (use) 1 to 2 underwear layer under this jacket. My perfect jacket... for autumm, winter and also for the spring... Thanks to castelli.... Hubert Submitted on  29 November 2020  by  HN

The King of Jackets for the Autumn and Winter

Its pedigree is legendary, however, this is the best incarnation yet of the Gabba, in my opinion. I find the fit to be perfect. The versatility is brilliant - taking me through autumn and winter in North Yorkshire (renowned for its inclement weather...). Some don't like the two pockets (preferring the usual three) but I find two are better for gloved hands. I like the little pocket for the pump too. I can be too warm at the top end of the recommended temperature range - I just reach for my short sleeve Perfetto Light RoS on the warmer days (another brilliant piece of kit). Excellent Autumn top

So far I'm very pleased with the quality, the used material and the sizing. It's great at keeping the wind and rain at bay. In terms of sizing I'm 191cm and weigh 86kg and I had to get an XL (chest 104cm) For the first try It's a little bit tight under the arms, but everything change when you are on the bike, it is just feels perfect, I did not even notice the jersey, feels like a second skin. Great combination of windproof and breathable. With a thin base layer underneath and Perfetto vest on top its perfect for winter riding. Submitted on  03 November 2020  by  Adam Vago

Perfetto ROS Long Sleeve

Bocciato. Size is the key

Point one, quality - The jacket is top quality, 5 stars, no doubt. Point two, size - I am 1.72 heigh, 72K, 99 chest, 89 Waist and all my clothes are M. In Castelli table my size is L. But Perfetto L is truly small even for bike standards, completely glued to the body. So I had to go to XL, two sizes up my normal, one size up Castelli size table recommendation. We can say that it is clearly assumed by Castelli that the sizes are truly fit to the body, although, the distance to mainstream tables is quite big. Submitted on  30 September 2020  by  Borges

Great bit of kit

Ive always used assos but i thought i would switch to the castelli Jacket i use it for my commute to work in the winter what a great bit of kit keeps you warm and Toast the only thing i would say if its goes below 0 degrees conditions i would recommend a gilet over the top Submitted on  30 September 2020  by  Simon

As mentioned in another review nice and light but does the job of wind protection very well. It is very comfortable (if you get the sizing right). Two large pockets rather than 3 small has won me over design wise. Medium size fitted me just right 175cm 63kg slim. Would like to see toggles add to the side ventilation zips to make it easier to open with gloves. Other than that hard to fault this 'Perfetto'. I have an Alpha ROS light as well but the wind protection and rain prevention 'appears' better with the Perfetto. So would agree with the recommended temp categories for both. Price here was cheaper than my 'normal' other online stores. Catch it while you can.. Submitted on  29 February 2020  by  Donal

Perfetto ROS

The best cool wether cycling top I have ever worn Submitted on  07 November 2019  by  Simon

Best Jersey Ever

When I took it out of the package I couldn't believe how light it was. Then when I actually rode in it, the hype is real. Best cold weather piece on the market! Submitted on  24 October 2019  by  Anonymous
