These shorts are fantastic for racing and equally as good for running and/or bricks. The pad isn't noticable on the run, but gives you what you need on the bike. That said, I would still recommend road shorts for your longer training rides, although I've done 10+ Ironman races in these shorts and they are super comfy! One thing to note here is sizing runs a bit smaller than a lot of other brands out there. The sizing is super consisten within the Castelli family, but if you aren't familiar with Castelli be sure to check the sizing charts. comfortable- barely notice they are there- just the way a good pair of shorts should be! Submitted on 22 May 2019 by SteveH
They pack small, feel good, and are perfect for training. I assume they are great on race day, but I get most my use out of them during training blocks as they allow me to train in tri shorts without having to put on a full kit to bike in my garage or go out on a brief brick run. This individual tri short is perfectly designed and made with the perfect thickness of materials. It dries and wicks away moisture very effectively. The snaps in the back work great when combined with the stealth top as you are able to snap the jersey to the short. Also, the pad is a perfect thickness for a sprint to full/long distance triathlons. It also has a draw string to keep in in place with a nice bonus of added pockets to carry your nutrition or anything else. Submitted on 21 May 2019 by mHan
I have been using this short for the past couple of years and love the way it fits for me. I use them primarily for my run training and this short fits in a way that's helps to avoid chafing and also has pockets for gel storage. I wouldn't hesitate to use these for racing or training and would recommend them to others looking for shorts to cover any distance. Submitted on 21 May 2019 by Brian
